World of Warcraft: use /played

  1. Log into the WoW character you want to check.
  2. Open chat, type /played and press Enter.
  3. Read the total shown for that character. Repeat for other characters if you want their individual totals.

This is a character statistic. It is not automatically your account’s total across every character, realm and game version.

For other Blizzard games

Check the game’s own profile or statistics screen. A counter may describe a hero, character, mode or match history rather than all time the application was running. Use the label in the game to understand what is included.

PlayCounter’s local session history provides a consistent record of runtime from the point you start using it. It does not reconstruct earlier character or match statistics.

Record a Battle.net session

  1. Leave PlayCounter running and launch the game from Battle.net.
  2. Confirm the game in Now Playing.
  3. If a match is missing, use Discovered to choose the game process and correct title.
  4. Close the game after playing and find the session in My History.

Match the game, not the Battle.net launcher. Check the selected title when using different WoW versions or test clients. PlayCounter records game runtime; it does not split a WoW session by character.

Can earlier Battle.net hours be imported?

There is currently no Battle.net history importer. You can add a manual session or adjust a game total if you want to include older time. Steam and Xbox imports can supply available totals for games reported by those services.
